Overview
Cate Baldwin is an artist who specializes in oil painting. I designed and developed her portfolio with the goal of letting her work shine while keeping everything else simple. I used ample white space, a clean, refined layout, and an elegant typeface to keep the focus on each piece of art, giving the website the same care that Cate puts into her works.
Motion
The motion is carefully thought through so it adds to the viewing experience instead of distracting from it. Transitions are smooth and unhurried, letting you soak in the beauty of each piece as it moves in and out of view.
